As a church, we believe that the Bible is \u201cGod\u2019s Word\u201d. The truths revealed in it did not have their origin with men, but with God. The Holy Spirit inspired the human authors of the Bible. RCCG North America Today<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, in North America there are over 924 parishes (Oct. 2018) spread in various cities and states of the USA and Canada. Our Parish, Chapel of the Great Restorer is one of the parishes in North America located in the Bronx, New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RCCG Chapel of the Great Restorer<\/a> was inaugurated on April 8, 2018. making it one of the several Churches plated by Pastor Daniel Ajayi-Adeniran, Head Pastor of our mother church, RCCG Chapel of Restoration<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

April 5, 1991<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st Parish in North America Started<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentored by the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Pastor James Fadel started the first parish of RCCG in North America \u2013 Winner\u2019s Chapel, Detroit in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the Continental Overseer of RCCG Americas-1<\/a> and also a special adviser to the General Overseer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

November 22, 1980<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor E. A. Adeboye becomes the new General Overseer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this day, Pastor E. A. Adeboye<\/a> was appointed as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God<\/a>. Amidst controversy, Pastor Adeboye’s appointment was formalized by the reading of Pa Akindayomi’s sealed pronouncement after his burial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the help of God Almighty, under the leadership of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the Church started to experience major growth. As a number of Parishes began to grow in leaps and bounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the last count, there are at least about 4000 parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria. On the International scene, the church is present in other African nations including Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Gambia, Cameroon, and South Africa. In Europe, the church is fully established in the following countries: the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

April 4, 1952<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RCCG Was Born<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 1952, Pa Akindayomi started a house fellowship called, the Glory of God Fellowship at Willoughby Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, there were nine members but before long the fellowship rapidly grew as the news of the miracles that occurred in their midst spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pa Akindayomi also had a vision of words that appeared to be written on a blackboard. The words were “The Redeemed Christian Church of God<\/a>.” Amazingly, Pa Akindayomi who could not read or write was supernaturally able to write these words down. In this visitation, God also said to him that this church would go to the ends of the earth and that when the Lord Jesus Christ appeared in glory, He would meet the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord then established a covenant with Pa Akindayomi, synonymous to the Abrahamic covenant in the Bible. He said that He the Lord would meet all the needs of the church in an awesome way if only members would serve Him faithfully and be obedient to His Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is upon this covenant that the Redeemed Christian Church of God was built. Thus, the Redeemed Christian Church of God was born in 1952, destined by the Lord Himself to take the world for Him. The church continued to meet at 9 Willoughby Street until they were able to acquire some land thereby witnessing relocation to the present site of the Headquarters of the church at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos (formerly 1a, Cemetery Street).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
